Job summary

Morrison Living in Durham, NC is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef, prepare and cook foods, and coordinate kitchen activities. Location is Croasdaile Village with a 10:30 am–7:30 pm schedule and rotating weekends. Requires 4 years of culinary experience and pays $23.00–$25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 4 years of culinary experience required.
• Experience supervising kitchen staff preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service staff including scheduling and training.
• Maintains sanitation and safe food handling throughout shift.
• Monitors inventory and coordinates with suppliers.
• Assists in coordinating operations in absence of Executive Chef.
