Job description:

Sous Chef/Lead Cook - Full Time

Qualifications and Responsibilities:
  1. 2-5 years of experience in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef position in a senior living setting preferred.
  2. Solid understanding of food cost control, ordering, and inventory system.
  3. Able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  4. Support and collaborate with the Chef and Director of Culinary in leading daily kitchen operations.
  5. Support and assist with creating seasonal menus and recipes.
  6. Participate in cooking demos and special events.
  7. Report to the Director of Culinary and Chef.
  8. Work on the line, prep, and expedite as needed.
  9. Maintain five-star standards in taste, plating, and execution.
  10. Oversee inventory and cost control with precision.
  11. Maintain the highest standards for cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization.
  12. Bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and stamina to stand for extended periods.
  13. Maintain a passion for cleanliness.
  14. Train and work with cooks, servers, and dishwashers.
  15. Document, investigate, escalate, and resolve employee or guest incidents.
  16. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
