Sous Chef/Lead Cook - Full Time
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- 2-5 years of experience in a Lead Cook or Sous Chef position in a senior living setting preferred.
- Solid understanding of food cost control, ordering, and inventory system.
- Able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Support and collaborate with the Chef and Director of Culinary in leading daily kitchen operations.
- Support and assist with creating seasonal menus and recipes.
- Participate in cooking demos and special events.
- Report to the Director of Culinary and Chef.
- Work on the line, prep, and expedite as needed.
- Maintain five-star standards in taste, plating, and execution.
- Oversee inventory and cost control with precision.
- Maintain the highest standards for cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization.
- Bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and stamina to stand for extended periods.
- Maintain a passion for cleanliness.
- Train and work with cooks, servers, and dishwashers.
- Document, investigate, escalate, and resolve employee or guest incidents.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
