Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to lead the daily operations of our community kitchen. You will supervise all kitchen staff, manage meal preparation, purchasing, cost control, sanitation, and staff training, delivering consistently excellent meals for our residents.

You will collaborate with the Director of Culinary Experience to plan menus, prepare from scratch, and ensure safety and quality. A strong background in senior living kitchen operations is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary education preferred or equivalent experience.
• Serve Safe Manager certification and kitchen sanitation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations with the Director of Culinary Experience within budget.
• Ensure resident satisfaction with a top-notch dining experience.
• Direct and manage all back- and front-of-house staff.
• Maintain departmental documentation per state and federal regulations.
• Assist in menu planning and catering events.
• Maintain inventory and purchase supplies as needed.
• Recruit, interview, hire and train staff.
