Job summary

Eurest is seeking a Sous Chef I in Charleston, SC to support the overall success of the food program and lead back-of-house culinary functions. You will assist in planning, ordering, inventory, and food prep while ensuring adherence to client culture, health regulations, and Eurest standards.

You will motivate, train, and direct kitchen staff to meet the operation’s objectives and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

5+ years of culinary experience including 1 year in management.
Experience across restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
Knowledge of food quality, production, sanitation, safety, cost controls, and presentation.

Responsibilities

Assists in coordinating and participating in the preparation and cooking of various food items.
Assists with planning and creating menus.
Rolls out new culinary programs with the marketing and culinary team.
Assists with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure.
Performs other duties as assigned.
