• We are hiring immediately for a full-time SOUS CHEF position.
• Location: Chartwells/Avon Local Schools - 35600 Bentley Drive, Avon, OH 44011. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Summary: Assists the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking food. Coordinates activities of cooks and food-service staff. Takes responsibility in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares food following recipes and standards, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Supervises hourly food service staff, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, and counseling.
• Stores food properly, following all safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, and temperature control.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and workstations, complying with sanitation standards.
• Addresses customer complaints courteously and relays feedback to supervisors.
• Fully understands and explains menu items to staff and customers.
• Manages peak production and service hours efficiently.
• Monitors inventory levels and communicates needs to supervisors.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
