Job summary

Hollywood Casino Morgantown is seeking an experienced culinary professional to join our kitchen leadership team. The role focuses on following recipes, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards for food preparation and presentation.

You will train cooks, manage schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure compliance with ServSafe and Pennsylvania food safety regulations. Starting salary is $52,000 per year, with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED; Associate’s/Technical Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of menu planning, soups, sauces, meat, poultry, and seafood items is required.
  • Knowledge of Food & Labor costs.
  • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Basic computer knowledge; ability to operate POS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all recipes and control procedures.
  • Maintain attendance and performance records.
  • Maintain food cost within budgeted parameters.
  • Control portion size, minimize waste and present menu items according to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with ServSafe guidelines and Pennsylvania state regulations.
  • Prepare weekly schedules and control labor costs.
  • Educate, train, and manage cooks to follow policies and standards.
  • Maintain positive guest relations.
  • Communicate with other culinary supervisors and managers to ensure efficient service and properly prepared food.
  • Perform all culinary job functions within immediate area when necessary.
  • Maintain daily cash control.
  • Ability to perform POS functions when necessary.
