Job summary

Hollywood Casino Morgantown, operated by PENN Entertainment, is seeking a kitchen team member to support daily food prep, line duties, and guest service on the casino floor. The role emphasizes adherence to recipes, cleanliness, and collaborative work with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience (or equivalent), strong English reading/writing ability, basic math, and the capacity to obtain any required licenses for Pennsylvania gaming venues.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to respond to guest inquiries and complaints.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules and manuals.
  • Ability to read, interpret technical procedures.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions.
  • Must qualify for a Pennsylvania State Racing Commission license and meet Gaming Control Board credentialing requirements.
  • Working events may require a non-gaming credential.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, expedites, monitors, replenishes, and transports meats, vegetables, soups, sauces and other food items as directed.
  • Receives daily instructions from Sous Chef and implements specials or menu changes.
  • Sets up mise en place per posted instructions and menu requirements.
  • Communicates station needs, waste, and discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Prepares and presents menu items following recipes and presentation photos.
  • Assists in other kitchen areas as directed by Sous Chef.
  • Interacts with guests and coworkers professionally.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Fulfills other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Reports to Sous Chef at start of shift to receive instructions as daily specials or menu changes.
  • Arranges mise en place according posted instructions and menu requirements.
  • Communicates station needs, waste and discrepancies with immediate supervisor.
  • As directed by supervisor, prepares and presents menu items according to recipe specification and presentation photos.
  • Assists in other areas of kitchen as directed by Sous Chef.
  • Interacts with guests and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Must have the ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions (i.e., written, verbak, etc.).
  • Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
  • Working events on the casino floor will require an individual to obtain a non‑gaming credential.
