Job summary

Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI, part of Newport Restaurant Group, seeks a Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations for the property.

You will supervise BOH staff, oversee prep and quality checks, manage inventory and private dining, and develop daily specials while ensuring a premier guest experience. Strong leadership and at least 2 years of Sous Chef experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Sous Chef experience in a full-service establishment.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and some holidays.

About the Position

Castle Hill Inn is looking for a Sous Chef to join the team.

Nestled on 40 acres overlooking the southwestern corner of Narragansett Bay, Castle Hill Inn – a Relais & Chateaux hotel – is a coastal haven where guests come to relax and rejuvenate against a spectacular New England backdrop, a location that is second to none. The property features guest rooms that are perched on the sand dunes of our private beach, a banquet facility, and two restaurants featuring the talents of the culinary team. Essential Duties

• Daily management of kitchen operations and coordination of all kitchen activities including private dining
• Daily monitoring of prep production and quality checks of all mise en place prior to service
• Ensures a quality guest experience through oversight of employees preparing and cooking food
• Ongoing development and of BOH employees and kitchen supervisory positions
• Assist with inventory and purchasing/storage
• Production of daily specials

Qualifications
