About the Role

Busch Gardens is a place of thrills, fun, and positive, lasting memories. As a key team member, you'll help bring happiness and excitement to guests from around the world. If you're dedicated, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional guest service, this is the role for you.

Working directly with the Executive Chef, you will oversee various culinary operations, contribute to recipe management, menu design, and staff training, and support catering and event services. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and during events is essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee culinary operations
  2. Manage food costs and recipes
  3. Support menu planning and seasonal food offerings
  4. Assist in event menu planning and execution
  5. Manage food inventories for events and banquets
  6. Ensure compliance with safety standards
  7. Train new staff
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and guests
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  1. At least two years of experience as a sous chef
  2. 3-5 years in a high-volume environment
  3. Knowledge of food cost management
  4. Experience in catering and inventory control
  5. Understanding of food safety standards and dietary needs
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  7. Experience managing multiple F&B outlets (a plus)
  8. Theme park experience (preferred)
  9. Strong multitasking, attention to detail, and communication skills
Physical and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Extensive walking, standing, and climbing
  • Perform physical activities including kneeling, bending, and reaching
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
