The role you’ll contribute:

Under the supervision of the Executive Chef Manager of FANS, provides supervision to ensure overall customer satisfaction with retail and patient food and nutritional services. Responsible for supervising staff and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and café for patients, visitors, and staff.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Plan, organize, supervise, coordinate, and control the operational activities of the Food and Nutritional Services Department, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring productivity standards are met.
• Oversee purchasing, storing, receiving, and issuing of food and supplies.
• Supervise food preparation and presentation in conjunction with the Chef Manager.
• Maintain high sanitation standards and ensure compliance with all staff.
• Ensure orientation and ongoing education of all Food Service Cook employees, complete performance evaluations, and participate in employee counseling, coaching, and termination as per policy.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required Qualifications:

• Three years of relevant experience
• High School diploma or GED
• Culinary Arts Certificate if applicable to state
• ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates Degree
• Three years of supervisory experience in a relevant setting
• Experience in operational supervision, personnel management, quality control, inventory systems, and fiscal management, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
