Job description

Job Overview

Manage the kitchen staff in the daily production, preparation, and presentation of all food for the hotel's restaurant(s) and room service in a safe, sanitary environment that meets all standards and regulations and achieves profitable, quality products. Responsible for managing daily kitchen operations, monitoring food and labor costs, and assisting in menu and production changes with the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily food production, preparation, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency in line with franchise standards.
  • Manage human resources in the kitchen, including hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, performance reviews, and discipline.
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards for the kitchen and equipment.
  • Control labor and food costs, preparing reports to meet budgets while maintaining quality.
  • Promote safety and accident prevention programs.
Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

1-2 years of related experience in food service management.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of food principles and management practices.
Physical Demands

Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry items, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work, including working in cold and hot environments.
