Woodfield Country Club is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead culinary operations across its five dining venues in Boca Raton. The role requires strong leadership and creative flair in a luxury, high-volume resort environment.

The ideal candidate has prior la carte experience, a culinary degree (preferred), and excellent communication skills. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a dynamic team culture in a private club setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directly supervises the daily preparation of all food items.
• Responsible for the food production in all outlets of the club.
• Maintains standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor of foods.
• Creates menu specifications with the Executive Chef.
• Tastes all food items prepared prior to serving.
• Creates specials and new items for buffet and a la carte.
• Plans weekly production lists.
• Ensures employees follow schedules and checklists.
• Ensures sanitation standards are followed and receiving quality is high.

Woodfield Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for our state-of-the-art dining outlets. Our resort offers five dining venues, each with a varied and unique dining experience to suit our members ranging from casual poolside bites to elaborate buffets and elegant dinners.

We are seeking a Culinary Professional who possesses strong culinary and managerial skills within a luxury high-volume resort or high-end restaurant environment. Must be creative, detail-oriented and have a strong passion for culinary arts. Prior experience as an a la carte Chef in a high volume, high quality environment preferred. Must have strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, and culinary degree preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following

• Prepares or directly supervises the daily preparation of all food items.
• Responsible for the food production in all outlets of the club.
• Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor of foods.
• Creates menu specification with the Executive Chef.
• Tastes all food items prepared prior to serving.
• Creates “Specials”.
• Creates new items for buffet and a la carte.
• Plans weekly production lists.
• Ensures all employees are following their schedules.
• Communicates with the Chef on any club member feedback.
• Ensures that all cooks are trained and understand our standards when working any type of station.
• Ensures that all food products received are of the highest quality.
• Ensures that all employees follow checklists for their areas.
• Ensures that all employees are following the highest sanitation standards.
• Ensure that the receiving department is accepting only the highest quality

Requirements

• Culinary Degree preferred
