Job summary

Inventus Power, a global leader in advanced battery systems, seeks a Supply Chain Analyst in Woodridge, IL. The role supports sourcing by preparing quotes, onboarding suppliers in the ERP system, and managing supplier data, while ensuring compliance and timely administration.

You will work with buyers and engineers on NPI programs and supplier setup, driving cost-efficiency and accuracy across supplier records, with emphasis on ITAR and quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of sourcing, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support experience, ideally in manufacturing or electronics.
• Working knowledge of an ERP/MRP system, including vendor and item master data.
• Strong attention to detail and the discipline to keep records accurate and audit-ready.
• Clear written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to manage many open items with competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes and RFQs with BOMs, drawings, specifications, and target volumes for NPI.
• Track quote responses, follow up on due dates, and build side-by-side quote comparisons covering price, MOQ, lead time, tooling, freight, and terms.
• Maintain quote history and cost data in a consistent format for traceability.
• Run new-supplier onboarding: collect W-9/tax forms, banking details, insurance certificates, NDAs, supplier agreements, and payment terms.
• Create and maintain supplier records in QAD and coordinate with Finance/AP on vendor setup.
• Submit pro forma formats to accounts payable for review/entry.
• Set up item-supplier cross-references and coordinate item data with Windchill.
• Audit supplier master data periodically for duplicates, inactive vendors, and expired documents.
• Release a supplier for orders only when required quality and admin items are complete.
• Support ITAR, export-control, and trade-compliance documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality on supplier approval and ASL status.
• Maintain item masters, BOM data, and price/lead-time updates in ERP.
• Support PO creation, confirmation, expedite, and change orders; reconcile supplier acknowledgments.
• Resolve PO, receiving, and invoice discrepancies; maintain SOPs and templates.
• Report weekly on open quotes, onboarding status, supplier on-time delivery, and lead-time risk.
• Analyze spend, price variance, and supplier performance to support sourcing decisions.
• Monitor single-source parts and obsolescence alerts; elevate risks early.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Buyers to keep NPI and production sourcing on schedule.
