Job summary

EnergyLink Sourcing LLC, the centralized supply chain arm supporting Quanta Services, seeks an entry-level Sourcing Specialist I in Houston, TX. You will assist in preparing bid packages, manage vendor communications, and help evaluate proposals for Transmission, Substation, and Distribution projects.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in sourcing or procurement, familiarity with BOMs/engineering drawings, and are eager to learn in a fast-paced utility/EPC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 0–2 years in sourcing, procurement, or related roles.
• Internship or co-op experience in sourcing or supply chain is a plus.
• Experience with Procore, SAP or Oracle preferred.
• Exposure to T&D materials or electric utility projects is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; detail-oriented and accurate.
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to work in a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue material bid packages for EPC projects.
• Review client RFPs and engineering documents to identify sourcing requirements.
• Validate material quantities and BOMs from drawings.
• Coordinate bidder lists and vendor prequalification information.
• Track and organize vendor quotes and proposals in sourcing systems.
• Assist in bid evaluations and summarize vendor proposals for internal review.
• Support negotiations and vendor communications under supervision.
• Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and ensure policy compliance.
• Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
