Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel supports a Memphis-area manufacturing client by recruiting a Sourcing Leader who can guide a team of buyers and strengthen a diverse supplier network. The role focuses on improving cost, quality, delivery and supply continuity across a high-SKU environment.

You will work with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning and Finance to optimize how the organization sources, negotiates and manages its supply base, balancing strategy with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

Want to do more than negotiate POs and chase suppliers?

We are working directly with a Memphis-area manufacturer to identify a Sourcing Leader who can lead a purchasing team, strengthen a complex supplier network, and have a meaningful impact on cost, quality, delivery and supply continuity.

This is a significant leadership role in a high-SKU manufacturing environment. You'll lead approximately 10 buyers/purchasing professionals and work across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning and Finance to improve how the organization sources, negotiates and manages its supply base.

Who We're Looking For

Ideally targeting a hands-on sourcing/procurement leader from manufacturing who has successfully led supplier negotiations, developed suppliers, improved cost and delivery performance, and managed or developed purchasing teams.

Experience sourcing categories such as castings, machined components, raw materials, purchased finished goods or packaging would also be highly relevant.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can balance strategy with execution, someone who can negotiate a major supplier agreement, work through a supply constraint with Operations, and develop their team along the way.
