Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel supports a Memphis-area manufacturing client by recruiting a Sourcing Leader who can guide a team of buyers and strengthen a diverse supplier network. The role focuses on improving cost, quality, delivery and supply continuity across a high-SKU environment.

You will work with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning and Finance to optimize how the organization sources, negotiates and manages its supply base, balancing strategy with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• Experience leading purchasing teams in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to negotiate supplier agreements and drive cost improvements.
• Experience sourcing categories such as castings, machined components, raw materials, purchased finished goods or packaging.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 10 buyers/purchasing professionals.
• Drive supplier negotiations, supplier development, cost improvement, delivery performance and accountability.
• Impact manufacturing continuity, inventory, customer service, margins and working capital through strategic sourcing decisions.
• Manage sourcing across a broad SKU base, multiple categories, and global suppliers.
• Identify better suppliers and improve sourcing processes and tools.
