Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sourcing Manager in Dallas, TX to lead direct electrical materials and equipment category strategies. You will partner with the Director of Strategic Sourcing to drive supplier relationships, cost improvements, and category ownership as the function scales.

You have 5-10 years in sourcing/procurement, hands-on category execution in industrial/electrical contexts, and strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate with engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of progressive sourcing or procurement experience.
• Experience in industrial, electrical, EPC, utility, manufacturing, or construction environments strongly preferred.
• Experience sourcing direct materials or equipment, hands-on category execution.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with engineering and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories within direct electrical materials, equipment, and services.
• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, including performance tracking, scorecards, and issue resolution.
• Support RFx events, negotiations, and supplier agreements under the Director's guidance.
• Analyze spend, pricing trends, and supplier performance to identify cost savings and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Partner with engineering and operations to align sourcing decisions with technical and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate contract and supplier data to support category strategy and reporting.
• Support the Director in developing and tracking sourcing metrics and KPIs.
• Assist with supplier onboarding and qualification for new categories or vendors.

Sourcing Manager

Dallas, TX | Reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing

Position Summary

The Sourcing Manager will support the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for direct electrical materials and equipment, working closely with the Director of Strategic Sourcing to manage supplier relationships, drive category strategy, and deliver measurable cost and value improvements. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build real category ownership and grow into broader sourcing leadership as the function scales.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within electrical contracting, power distribution, or industrial services
• Exposure to managing multi-million-dollar category spend
• Familiarity with supplier performance programs and sourcing best practices
