Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sourcing Manager in Dallas, TX to own category execution for direct electrical materials and equipment, collaborating with the Director of Strategic Sourcing to maximize value.

This hands-on role focuses on supplier relationships, cost reductions, and building category ownership as the sourcing function scales within a fast-growing private equity backed electrical services company.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive sourcing or procurement experience.
• Experience in industrial, electrical, EPC, utility, manufacturing, or construction environments preferred.
• Experience sourcing direct materials or equipment with hands-on category execution.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with engineering and technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree required; engineering or technical background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories within direct electrical materials, equipment, and services.
• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, including performance tracking and issue resolution.
• Support RFx events, negotiations, and supplier agreements under the Director's guidance.
• Analyze spend, pricing trends, and supplier performance to identify cost savings and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Partner with engineering and operations to align sourcing decisions with technical and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate contract and supplier data to support category strategy and reporting.
• Support the Director in developing and tracking sourcing metrics and KPIs.
• Assist with supplier onboarding and qualification for new categories or vendors.
