This role sits within our managed services practice and combines category depth, project leadership, and advisory capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Advisory
  • Act as a primary sourcing partner for client stakeholders across construction and capital projects categories (e.g., civil works, EPC, MEP, fit-outs, infrastructure, facilities services).
  • Translate business and project requirements into clear sourcing strategies, RFx documentation, and Statements of Work (SOWs) aligned to project timelines and risk profiles.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, applying market intelligence and commercial judgment to guide sourcing and supplier decisions.
Strategic Sourcing & Execution
  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives including market assessment, supplier shortlisting, RFIs/RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and supplier recommendations.
  • Design and execute competitive bidding events for construction services, including multi-round negotiations and commercial optimization.
  • Develop negotiation strategies focused on cost optimization, risk mitigation, contract compliance, and performance outcomes.
  • Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and compliance with contractual, regulatory, and client governance requirements.
Category & Market Expertise
  • Conduct construction market analysis, cost benchmarking, and pricing baselines across labor, materials, and service components.
  • Leverage architectural, civil, and construction documentation (drawings, takeoffs, benchmarks) to support cost analysis and supplier negotiations.
  • Stay current on construction market trends, supply risks, labor dynamics, inflation indices, and regional cost drivers to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Support development of category strategies for construction and facilities spend.
Stakeholder & Project Management
  • Collaborate with internal consulting teams, legal, finance, engineering, and project management stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage multiple sourcing workstreams simultaneously while meeting client deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Support project kick-offs, governance cadence, and executive-level updates with clear, data-backed insights.
Team & Practice Contribution
  • Mentor junior team members and share best practices across construction sourcing engagements.
  • Contribute to process improvement, playbooks, templates, and sourcing methodologies within the consulting practice.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and capability-building initiatives as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 5–8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement consulting, or category management with significant exposure to construction or capital projects spend.
  • Proven experience sourcing categories such as construction services, EPC, MEP, civil works, facilities management, or infrastructure services.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracting models (lump sum, BOQ, unit rate, cost-plus, EPC, framework agreements).
  • Demonstrated success in complex commercial negotiations and supplier management.
  • Exposure to digital sourcing tools or procurement platforms.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Experience supporting global or multi-site construction programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical capability to develop cost models, baselines, and sourcing recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
