Job summary

Panthalassa, a renewable energy and ocean technology company in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Structures. You will own the design and analysis of Node structures for renewable energy technologies deployed in challenging ocean conditions.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant engineering experience. We offer a salary range of $105,000 to $145,000, equity options, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical or structural design engineering, including internships, research, or project work.
• Strong structural analysis fundamentals (load paths, hand calculations, FEA).
• Demonstrated 3D CAD modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, analysis, and development of Node structures.
• Perform structural and dynamic analysis to validate designs.
• Collaborate with offshore operations and manufacturing teams.
