Job summary

Unitek Technical Services is seeking a Source Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections at supplier sites in the Southern California region, primarily around Los Angeles. You will conduct First Article inspections in accordance with AS9102 standards and verify parts against detailed drawings.

Applicants should read GD&T per ANSI/ASME Y14.5, perform mechanical measurements, and communicate non-conformances with suppliers to ensure continual quality.

Qualifications

• Must perform in-process and final source inspections per AS9102.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings with GD&T per ANSI/ASME Y14.5.
• Carry out mechanical measurement verification on machined components.

Responsibilities

• Perform source inspections at supplier facilities in Southern California (LA area).
• Verify conformance against drawings and specifications; document findings.

The ability to perform in-process and final source inspections including First Article inspections per AS9102 Quality Standards

The ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings, specifications, geometric dimensioning and tolerances per ANSI/ ASME Y 14.5.

The ability to perform mechanical measurement for verifying the compliance of complex machined, formed,and assembled aircraft/engine components.

Prior experience with:

• Mechanical Skills: ( MCH - MACHINING,GEN MECHANICAL )
• Electrical Skills: Electromechanical
• Electronic Skills: Circuit- Card Assemblies, Soldering, Micro-Electronic

Supply Chain Management Skills: ( FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTION, CAV W/Suppliers )
