Job summary

The Salvation Army Syracuse ARC is seeking a Sorting Room Supervisor to oversee garment sorting, tagging, pricing, and daily production goals. You will train staff, enforce safety and quality standards, and maintain accurate records of attendance, schedules, and output.

This role requires a high school diploma and supervisory or warehouse experience. You will support the work therapy program by modeling professional conduct and cooperating with administrators and ARC counselors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Supervisory and warehouse experience preferred.
• Practical knowledge of processing and identifying clothing quality and price.
• Ability to lead, manage and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee employees, train and cross-train staff.
• Sort, tag, and price merchandise per policy.
• Maintain records: attendance, schedules, production output.
• Evaluate performance and provide training or warnings.
• Ensure safe, clean work areas and equipment use.
• Manage inventory of supplies and security of valuables.
• Support work therapy program and model professional conduct.
• Complete beneficiary evaluations monthly.
