Job summary

The Salvation Army in Uniontown, PA seeks an Assistant Sorting Room Supervisor to back up the Sorting Room Supervisor and coordinate efficient sorting room operations. You will supervise personnel, ensure garments are processed correctly, and maintain records and safety practices in a busy environment.

Responsibilities include training staff, managing inventory and production targets, and supporting the work therapy program while safeguarding all valuables processed through sorting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sorting Room Supervisor to coordinate staff and operations.
• Ensure merchandise is sorted, tagged, and priced per policy.
• Maintain records: attendance, schedules, production output, storage and quality.
• Ensure clean, safe work conditions and proper use of equipment.
• Collaborate with Supervisor to meet daily garment production targets.
• Secure collection and handling of jewelry, antiques, and other valuables processed.
• Manage attendance records for beneficiaries and support work therapy program.
