Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Stanfield, NC is seeking a Machine Operator - Sortation for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:00 PM). The role involves setting up sorting equipment, inspecting parts with blueprints, and maintaining a safe, efficient work area. You will handle forklifts, overhead cranes, and routine preventive maintenance while meeting print parameters.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and basic mechanical knowledge, with good communication skills. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• General mechanical knowledge and ability.
• Drive and operate forklift.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Read and understand blueprints, basic mathematical understanding (add, subtract, divide).
• Communicate effectively, verbal and written.
• Ability to lift 5-40 lbs regularly and 41+ lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Set up machine bowls, tracks, lasers, eddy current, cameras and feed systems to sort assemblies to print parameters.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspection using blueprints and measurement devices.
• Identify and correct setup, machine, or feed problems.
• Weigh, label, and package sorted product for shipping.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Work overtime as needed.
