Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator – Sortation for the 2nd shift in Stanfield, NC.

You will set up equipment, inspect parts, troubleshoot issues, and prepare products for shipping while maintaining safety and quality standards. You should have a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical knowledge, forklift and crane operation skills, and ability to read blueprints and use basic measurements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• General mechanical knowledge and ability
• Ability to drive and operate forklift
• Operate overhead cranes
• Read and understand blueprints, basic math
• Good written and verbal communication
• Basic computer knowledge
• Analytical skills to evaluate die/press problems
• Ability to lift 5-40 lbs regularly
• Able to stand/walk for 8-hour shift

Responsibilities

• Set up machine bowls, tracks, lasers, eddy current, cameras and feed systems to sort assemblies to print parameters
• Perform dimensional and visual inspection using blueprints and gauges
• Identify and correct setup or feed problems with computer or mechanical adjustments
• Weigh, label and carton sorted products for shipping
• Communicate effectively with team and supervisor
• Maintain housekeeping and safety in work area
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
• Work overtime as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
