Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.) in Stanfield, NC. You’ll perform electrical, plumbing and general building repairs, follow safety procedures, keep work area clean and may work overtime.

This role supports manufacturing operations on the Stanley Engineered Fastening team. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in industrial maintenance, ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of PLCs,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year experience/training in industrial manufacturing maintenance or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Basic knowledge in Industrial Maintenance Electrical Principles, Industrial Maintenance of PLC's, Fluid Power, and Fundamentals of Machine Tools (NOCTI scores).
• Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete a wide variety of work, electrical, plumbing, general building repairs, etc.
• Perform safe work practices.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Must be able to work overtime if needed.
• Support, communicate, and drive Safety.
• Identify safety hazards and collaborate with team to resolve.
• Participate in 6S projects, 6S 360 and SMED events.
• Ensure FIFO in order to keep department inventory to recommended levels.
• Collaborate with team, machine operators, and supervisor.
• Data Entry (Emaintenance System, etc.)
