Job summary

JW Logistics is seeking a Sortation Lead in Carlstadt, NJ. Qualifications

• Two years or more of warehouse, parcel, or distribution operations experience.
• At least one year in a lead, supervisory, or shift-ownership capacity.
• Ability to write, read, and communicate in English at a level sufficient to write shift reports.
• Proficiency with scanning and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive and validate the daily van and route plan against inbound volume at shift start.
• Assign associates to sort lanes and set the sort sequence.
• Own the countdown to dispense and escalate risks before late loadout.
• Verify final package counts by van and sign off on staging accuracy.
• Own exception documentation for damages, shorts, overages, and misroutes.
• Conduct start-of-shift safety brief and equipment checks.
• Manage crew attendance, breaks, and NJ meal/rest compliance.
• Provide first-line coaching and document performance concerns.
• Issue end-of-shift reports covering volume, dispense, and exceptions.
• Interface with Walmart depot lead and represent JW Logistics on site.
