Job summary

JW Logistics is seeking a Sortation Lead in Carlstadt, NJ to run the shift side-by-side with the crew. This player-coach role sets the sort sequence, signs off on what leaves the building, and acts as the accountable presence on the customer site.

You will train on the floor, monitor outbound windows, coach team members, complete end-of-shift reports, and coordinate with the Walmart depot lead. This is a full-time, on-site position with hourly pay between $40 and $48.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of warehouse, parcel, or distribution ops experience with hands-on leadership.
• At least 1 year in a lead, supervisory, or shift-ownership role.
• Ability to read/write English well enough to prepare shift reports and interact with customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and validate daily plan vs inbound volume at shift start.
• Assign associates to sort lanes and set sort sequence.
• Own countdown to dispense and escalate risks to dispatch as needed.
• Verify final package counts and sign off on staging accuracy.
• Lead start-of-shift safety brief and equipment checks; document both.
• Manage crew attendance, breaks, and NJ meal/rest compliance.
• Provide coaching and document performance concerns; escalate as required.
• Issue end-of-shift report covering volume, dispense, exceptions, and open items.
• Interface directly with Walmart depot lead and represent JW Logistics on site.
