Job summary

Jw Logistics Operations in Carlstadt, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Sortation Associate to sort inbound Walmart packages by route, stage volume for dispatch, and help ensure on-time departures.

You will scan and verify counts with handheld devices, reconcile variances, flag damaged or misrouted items, maintain an OSHA-compliant sort area, and support the supervisor to keep the outbound window on schedule. This is an on-site, full-time role paying $30–$35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic under time pressure.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Receive and induct inbound packages at the dock against the manifest.
• Scan and sort packages to routes and van designations using the handheld device and site system.
• Verify package counts against the manifest and reconcile variances before staging.
• Stage sorted volume by van bay in the required sequence for dispense.
• Hand off to the driver; ensure volume is correct, complete and in the right place.
• Identify damaged, short, over, unmanifested, and misrouted packages and report to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant sort area throughout the shift.
• Complete end-of-sort count reconciliation and report any discrepancy to the supervisor.
• Follow site safety rules and wear PPE; report injuries or near-misses.
• Assist supervisor with additional tasks to keep the dispense window on schedule.
