Job Description

Sortation 9190 Orion Dr NE, Lacey, WA 98516 WA100 Distribution Center

Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 3:00pm - 9:00pm

Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW:

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Sortation, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout the distribution center to company owned branches. You will organize all outgoing orders by placing packages into totes and pallets in preparation for shipping. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 9190 Orion Dr NE, Lacey, WA 98516. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Organizing shipments into correct containers
• Packing product in layers to ensure stability and efficient space usage

• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience operating a forklift
