Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring for a Part-time Shipping role at our Orlando, FL distribution center. The position involves helping move products, labeling, loading/unloading shipments, and maintaining safety and organization in a fast-paced team environment.

Entry-level to experienced candidates are welcome; 18+ required. You will use RF scanners, pallets, and basic computer systems, with a flexible schedule after onboarding and training. 401(k) with employer contribution is offered.

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Shipping, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. You will be responsible for organizing all outgoing orders, loading product into trucks by hand, pallet jack, or by forklift. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 2456 Commerce Park Dr, Orlando, FL 32819. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Inspecting product for damage and documenting discrepancies
• Sorting product into correct locations
• Stacking product efficiently
• Consolidating, loading and unloading shipments
• Utilizing load truck reports to locate product for outgoing shipments
• Ensuring proper load securement for transport

• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills

• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
