Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Madison, MS is seeking a Part-time Sortation Associate for our distribution center. You will move products, organize shipments, and prepare orders for shipping in a fast-paced setting.

The position is entry-level with up to 28 hours/week, schedule MON–FRI 11:00am–4:00pm, and potential for flexible scheduling after onboarding and goal attainment.

Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Sortation, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout the distribution center to company owned branches. You will organize all outgoing orders by placing packages into totes and pallets in preparation for shipping. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 359 Old Jackson Rd, Madison, MS 39110. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Organizing shipments into correct containers

• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience operating a forklift
