Job summary

Maker's Pride in Ohio seeks a Documentation Specialist to create, manage, and maintain manufacturing, quality control, safety, and operational procedure documents within our food facility.

You will work with Production, Quality Assurance, Safety, and Engineering to ensure accuracy, compliance with GMP/HACCP/SQF, and timely document audits; strong writing, organization, and ERP knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of data entry experience.
• Experience with GMPs, HACCP, SQF is a plus.
• Knowledge of HACCP and ERP systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with document management systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit SOPs, work instructions, manuals, and other documents related to manufacturing processes.
• Ensure documents are clear, accurate, and reflect current practices and standards.
• Maintain a comprehensive filing system for electronic and physical documents.
• Ensure documentation complies with industry regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular audits of documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with QA to implement changes and updates to documents as needed.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Safety, and Engineering to gather information.
• Serve as a point of contact for document-related inquiries and staff training on document control procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes and systems.
