Job summary

The University of Akron's Sonography Program is seeking a Program Director to coordinate and evaluate clinical education, strengthen affiliations with healthcare partners, and lead accreditation efforts while teaching didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses across Fall, Spring, and Summer.

Required: a relevant Bachelor's degree and ARDMS credentials (Abdominal; additional ARDMS areas such as OB/GYN and Vascular preferred); minimum 2 years teaching, online/distance teaching experience with

Requires a relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
Program Director experience required.
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
Experience with accreditation policies and procedures.
Online/distance learning teaching experience and LMS familiarity.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, administer, and evaluate all clinical education experiences within the Sonography Program.
Develop and strengthen partnerships with clinical affiliates and healthcare organizations.
Conduct clinical site visits and evaluate the quality of clinical learning environments.
Teach didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses across Fall, Spring, and Summer.
Collaborate on curriculum development to meet accreditation standards.
Assist with student recruitment, advising, retention, and graduation initiatives.
Maintain records for clinical education, competencies, and outcomes.
Participate in accreditation activities and continuous program improvement.
