Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform comprehensive ultrasound exams across abdomen, breast, pelvis, obstetrics, and specialty areas, under indirect supervision. You will select transducers, adjust settings, and document results to support medical decision-making.

The role requires RDMS certification (and NT if performing OB NT), BLS, and the ability to work with physicians and staff in a fast-paced imaging department.

Qualifications

• NT certification when performing Nuchal Translucency procedures.
• RDMS certification or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and obtain quality images.
• Demonstrates culturally sensitive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and produce 2D recordings.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Consult with radiologists to determine exam type and correlate history.
• Maintain equipment and record results accurately.
