Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Salem is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to provide ultrasound services in hospital and clinic settings, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular studies. The role includes clerical duties and contributing to a patient-centered team aligned with Kaiser’s mission.

Candidates must graduate from a CAAHEP-accredited program or have two years of ultrasound experience, hold ARDMS certificates in Abdomen or OB/GYN, and obtain BLS within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP Accredited Ultrasonographer Program at time of hire or 2 yrs previous Ultrasound experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Abdomen or Ob-Gyn required at hire.
• Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in hospital or clinic, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular studies.
• Communication with Radiologist.
• Assist patient/transport.
• Exam review. File work. Restocking supplies/cleaning. Quality Assurance functions. Other duties as assigned
