Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to provide diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital setting. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate required at hire (ARDMS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• Experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum one year of ultrasound experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging following clinical protocols and position patients to optimize examination quality.
• Develop films and evaluate image quality; ensure proper patient identification and documentation.
• Input patient information into IDX-Rad system and complete procedure checklists.
• Provide patient education and address concerns to facilitate cooperation and reduce anxiety.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and respond to contrast reactions per policy.
