Job summary

HCA HealthONE Aurora seeks a Sonographer II PRN to perform diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures, operate ultrasound equipment, and prepare examination rooms. You will maintain safety, handle clerical duties, and contribute to quality patient care.

Qualifications include RVT and RDMS certifications, BLS, and completion of an accredited sonography program. Prior clinical experience is preferred; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RVT certification and RDMS Certification.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC.
• Graduate of an accredited medical sonography program required.
• Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures and operate ultrasound equipment.
• Develop film and prepare room with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain high quality diagnostic results.
• Assist with data collection for PI monitors and quality control of equipment.

Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Aurora. The Ultrasonographer II performs diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures, operates ultrasound equipment, develops film, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Provides excellent patient experience with quality diagnostic results. Maintains technical skills and is responsible for the use of equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety. Secondary duties include computer work, answering phones, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files, and general cleaning. Assists in collecting data for PI monitors and conducting quality control for equipment. When need arises, performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current RVT certification and RDMS Certification.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC.
• Graduate of an accredited medical sonography program required.
• Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Proficiency in computer skills and critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
