Job Summary And Qualifications

Position Summary:

This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the Radiology Director, a Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or director of imaging, the sonographer performs procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The ARMDS standard of practice describes the clinical competency requirements and job responsibilities.

II. Position Requirements:
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: RDMS Sonographer. AHA or ARC BLS required.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of sonography preferred, or on the job training meeting the qualifications of ARDMS.
  • Experience: 1 year clinical experience preferred.
