Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish in Denver is seeking a Sonographer II to perform diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures, operate ultrasound equipment and prepare rooms to ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency.

The role requires ARDMS RDMS and RVT certifications, graduation from an accredited radiography program, and clinical experience. You will collaborate with clinicians, maintain equipment QC, and support PI data collection while upholding our mission and patient care standards.

Qualifications

  • Current ARDMS certification with both RDMS and RVT certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program
  • Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinical experience
  • Familiar with the majority of ultrasound and/or NIVA procedures; high dexterity and critical thinking for equipment operation and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures and operate ultrasound equipment.
  • Prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies; ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Interact professionally with patients, medical staff and physicians; support PI monitors and QC on equipment.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Position Summary: Individual performs diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures, operates ultrasound equipment, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of the company. Is able to provide care to his/her assigned patients and assures a safe patient care environment. Maintains technical skills and is responsible for using equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety. Secondary duties include clerical duties, receptionist, answering phones, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files and general cleaning. Assists in collecting data for PI monitors and conducting QC on equipment.

Position Requirements
  • Current ARDMS certification with both Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required. Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program
  • Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinical experience
  • Familiar with the majority of ultrasound and/or NIVA procedures. High degree of manual, critical thinking skills, and dexterity skills necessary for operation of equipment and patient care.
