Job summary

HCA HealthONE is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, perform radiographic procedures under Radiologist supervision, and support a busy emergency and hospital environment.

Qualified applicants will have an AMA approved Radiology Technology program and ARRT certification, with BLS and at least 2 years of acute care experience preferred. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within a large healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with ARRT certification.
• Maintain ARRT registry through continuing education to keep knowledge up to date.
• BLS certification required by AHA or American Red Cross.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prefer 2 years of recent acute care radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body areas.
• Under Radiologist supervision, perform x-ray procedures and explain procedures to patients.
• Serve emergency, hospital, and outpatient patients.
• Work with protocols for patients from neonate to geriatric.
• Maintain expert technical and patient-care skills to deliver high-quality diagnostic results.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Our Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a broad range of services to aid in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries.

• You will operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
• Under the supervision of a Radiologist, your role performs x-ray therapy on patients and explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
• Your role will serve patients in our emergency department, patients in our hospital, and outpatient patients in need of services as well.
• You will perform procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric.
• Your role will be responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.

What qualifications you will need:

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.
• Must maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skill level.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Prefer 2 years recent acute care experience.
