Job summary

Novant Health seeks a Sonographer to support physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in sonography (preferred) and ARRT or ARDMS certification, with required registrations within 6 months of hire. This role supports patient care within our imaging department.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Sonography preferred.
• ARRT-certified radiography or sonography program required.
• CAAHEP-recognized sonography program required.

What We Offer

The Sonographer assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
  • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
