Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a qualified Echocardiography Technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiograms and vascular studies, obtain patient history, and ensure accurate documentation for reading physicians.

Requires RDCS, RVT, RCS, and RVS certifications; Associate's degree in cardiovascular sonography preferred; 1+ years experience preferred; full-time day shift with benefits from day one.

Responsibilities

• Obtains a complete and current history of the patient and the reason for the exam.
• Performs quality echocardiogram and vascular studies for adequate diagnostic evaluation by physicians.
• Inputs notes and history at the completion of the exam and maintains organized workflow.
• Follows safety measures and uses patient identifiers correctly.
• Notifies floors or physicians as needed and ensures accurate practitioner orders.

Job Description

Obtains a complete and current history of the patient and the reason for the exam. Performs quality echocardiogram and vascular studies for adequate diagnostic evaluation by the reading physicians. Obtains all views required for processing. Inputs notes and history at the completion of the exam. Inputs data at the completion of the exam. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarify with offices, floors, or physicians as needed. Notifies the floor if the patient has had an echocardiogram within the past six months. Utilizes all safety measures provided for the department and individual technologists. Always uses two types of patient identifiers, such as name and date of birth. Assures proper positioning, technique, and protocol for each exam. Performs other duties as assigned.

1+ relevant experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Required]
