Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking a qualified Echocardiography Technologist to perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound and vascular studies for diagnostic evaluation.

The candidate should hold RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS or equivalent and BLS certification, with 1+ year experience preferred. An Associate degree in cardiovascular sonography is preferred; full-time daytime position on site.

Qualifications

• Registered credentials RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS required or eligible.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Obtains a complete and current history of the patient and the reason for the exam.
• Performs quality echocardiogram and vascular studies for adequate diagnostic evaluation by the reading physicians.
• Obtains all views required for processing.
• Inputs notes and history at the completion of the exam.
• Inputs data at the completion of the exam.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarify with offices, floors, or physicians as needed.
• Notifies the floor if the patient has had an echocardiogram within the past six months.
• Utilizes all safety measures provided for the department and individual technologists.
• Always uses two types of patient identifiers, such as name and date of birth.
• Assures proper positioning, technique, and protocol for each exam.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
