Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an Imaging Cardiology Technologist for AHMG Cardiology at Partin Settlement in Kissimmee, FL. The role performs echocardiograms and vascular studies, ensuring accuracy of exam data and proper patient identification.

You will float to multiple local sites as needed, with a daytime schedule and state-of-the-art equipment. Minimum qualifications include RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS certification, BLS, and knowledge of cardiovascular sonography.

Qualifications

• RDCS, RVT, RCS, or RVS certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in cardiovascular sonography preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete and current history of patient and reason for exam.
• Perform echocardiogram and vascular studies for diagnostic evaluation.
• Obtain all views required for processing and input notes/history at exam completion.
• Maintain clean and organized work environment and ensure safety protocols.
• Will float to Kissimmee, Partin Settlement and Poinciana locations as needed.

2488 E. Iro Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34744

Monday - Thursday 7am - 5:30pm

will float to locations in Kissimmee, Partin Settlement and Poinciana as needed

• Obtains a complete and current history of the patient and the reason for the exam.
• Performs quality echocardiogram and vascular studies for adequate diagnostic evaluation by the reading physicians.
• Obtains all views required for processing.
• Inputs notes and history at the completion of the exam.
• Inputs data at the completion of the exam.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarify with offices, floors, or physicians as needed.
• Notifies the floor if the patient has had an echocardiogram within the past six months.
• Utilizes all safety measures provided for the department and individual technologists.
• Always uses two types of patient identifiers, such as name and date of birth.
• Assures proper positioning, technique, and protocol for each exam.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
