Job summary

Women's Care in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a Sonographer to perform ultrasound examinations and record findings, including nuchal translucency scans, fetal surveys, and 3D-4D imaging, in a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends.

The ideal candidate holds OB/GYN ARDMS certification, Nuchal Translucency certification or ability to obtain within 90 days, and 1–2 years of OB/GYN or MFM experience, with strong patient care and teamwork skills; experience with eCW EMR is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification required.
• Nuchal Translucency certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• 1–2 years OB/GYN or MFM experience preferred.
• Experience with 3D-4D scans desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound examinations and records findings.
• Performs nuchal translucency scans per established standards.
• Completes fetal surveys and 3D-4D scans.
• Evaluates the images for their quality, and interprets what was captured.
• Documents/updates information in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Represents clinic in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
• Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
• Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
• Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Sonographer

The Sonographer performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings. This includes routine ultrasound exams, as well as specialized procedures as directed.

• Performs nuchal translucency scans per established standards and guidelines.
• Completes fetal surveys.
• Performs hysterosonograms, as well as 3D-4D scans.
• Evaluates the images for their quality, but also interprets what was captured in the image.
• Documents/updates information in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Represents clinic in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
• Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
• Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.

• Valid OB/GYN ARDMS certification.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent OBGYN or MFM experience.
• Experience with 3D-4D scans.
• Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
• Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, eCW a plus.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
