Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is seeking a Sonographer to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and obtain diagnostic images for evaluation by a physician. The role requires ARDMS registration with RDMS in one or more specialties and completion of an Ultrasound program.
Preferred candidates have 1+ year experience as a Sonographer and current BLS certification. The position is part-time with rotating shifts at the Modesto campus, offering a comprehensive benefits package.
Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, the Sonographer is responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment in a safe manner while exercising independent judgment in order to obtain diagnostic images on patients of all ages for subsequent evaluation by a qualified physician.
Must have completed an Ultrasound Academic Program.
Minimum Experience/Skills:
1+ years experience as an Sonographer is preferred.
License/Certificates/Credentials:
Must be registered by ARDMS. RDMS is required at time of hire with a certification in one of the three specialties (Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular). The second specialty certification must be obtained within 12 months and the third specialty certification must be obtain within 18 months. All three specialties must be obtained within 18 months as a condition of employment. Must have current BLS Certification.
