Job summary

Pacific Central Coast Health Center is seeking a Sonographer to perform high‑risk OB ultrasound exams, including fetal echo, with direct patient interaction and careful image interpretation. You will operate state‑of‑the‑art equipment, ensure patient comfort, and provide preliminary findings to physicians.

The role requires CPR/BLS certification and evidence of advanced sonographic skills, with responsibilities spanning image acquisition, patient education, and collaboration with obstetric teams

Qualifications

• Two years high-risk/level II OB ultrasound experience including fetal echo.

Responsibilities

• Record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and masses using advanced sonographic equipment.
• Explain procedures, answer questions, and prepare patients for scans while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Monitor and care for patients, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to physicians.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision‑making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Two (2) years high-risk/level II OB Ultrasound including Fetal Echo.
• Experienced with US guided invasive fetal procedures including amniocentesis and CVS
• Basic Life Support - CPR
• One of the following: Registered Cardiac Electr, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, Registered Vascular Specialist, Registered Vascular Technologist

Preferred:

• Experience with AIUM certification process
