Job summary

Essentia Health–Fargo is seeking a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging for physician diagnosis in a busy hospital setting. You will operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment with skilled technique and ensure patient comfort and safety as part of a collaborative care team.

Requirements include CAHEA-accredited education, ARDMS registry eligibility, and ND licensure within the required timeframe.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAHEA-accredited program in sonography.
• Registry eligible by ARDMS within hire.
• Must be certified in one of Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast or Nuchal Translucency within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic ultrasound scans for physician diagnosis using ultrasound equipment and appropriate technical knowledge.
• Work at Essentia Health–Fargo in a team with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with scheduling and clinical teams to ensure timely diagnostics.

In this role you will get too:

Education Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

• Graduation from a Committee on Allied Health Education (CAHEA) accredited program in sonography and registry eligible by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

• Registered by the ARDMS within 1 year of hire.

West Market and Brainerd Lakes Locations:

• Must be certified in one of the following areas within 12 months - Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast or Nuchal Translucency

West: If North Dakota, must have current license on North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire.

If working in Department 2010-2042320 MSK Ultrasound - SMDC HOSP, must complete ARDMS MSK Certification within 24 months.
