Job summary

Stratosphere Gaming, LLC is seeking a part‑time Sommelier to support the food and beverage team at The STRAT. You will advise guests on wine selections, curate wine lists, and assist with wine inventory management to enhance the dining experience.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of fine dining wine service experience, strong knowledge of wine regions and pairing, and excellent communication skills. Must be 21+ and able to work in a fast-paced casino environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Advise guests on wine choices based on individual preferences to enhance their experience and profitability.
  • Create and maintain accurate wine lists reflecting current inventory and seasonal changes.
  • Record and manage wine inventory and communicate out-of-stock items to management and staff.
  • Create and distribute training materials and conduct regular wine tastings to educate team members.
  • Maintain an active floor presence, assisting guests and staff with wine service.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
